Privacy Policy Regarding your Personal Data

Your privacy matters to me, and I am very careful to protect the personal data you share with me.  This type of data includes such items as your name, email address, phone number(s), street & billing address, credit card info, information about the specific items you purchase through me, etc.).

I have never and I WILL never sell, rent, or otherwise transfer my customer list as a whole to any other entity, but in the course of doing business some of your data may be transmitted in the following cases:

  • If you place an order for Stampin’ Up! product directly through me, I will collect the basic information required in order for me to process that order for you. Examples include your name, email address address, billing info (if you choose to use a credit or debit card to pay for your order), your shipping address, and the specific products you want. Stampin’ Up!® (the company I represent) will also receive and maintain similar information – so they can process and fulfill your order.  Likewise, if I arrange for Stampin’ Up! to direct-mail you a catalog or similar marketing piece, I will provide them with your name and address information that they’ll need in order to process that request. I also maintain my client records on Stampin’ Up!’s server, and that will also include some of your purchasing history
  • If you give me credit or debit card information as payment for your order, I will maintain that information in a safe place at my place of business until I process the order…. at which time I will appropriately destroy all but the last 4 digits of the card number.  If you’d like to take advantage of the convenience of keeping your credit or debit card information stored securely on Stampin’ Up!’s server it would be reasonable to expect that while steps will be taken to keep it “safe and secure”, we know from history of such matters in our society that 100% perfection cannot be expected these days in that regard. (For this reason, I seldom offer this convenience to my customers anymore, although it is a convenience service that Stampin’ Up! offers.)
  • In certain instances Stampin’ Up! may communicate with you directly pertaining to your order. This is generally done via email, and reasons might include letting you know the shipment status of an order or the occasional situation where they may need to communicate something pertinent to a particular product you have ordered. (Such as tips for its use, availability issues, potential recall, etc.) Stampin’ Up! may also contact you occasionally with questions about a product you may have ordered, and of course if you call *them* and offer them any personal information, it makes sense to assume they will then have that information going forward.
  • If you place an order for product at my online store or subscribe to the Paper Pumpkin program (or any similar programs that may be offered in the future), Stampin’ Up! will collect the data necessary to process and ship your order. This will include not only your payment data, but your name, address & products ordered. You will establish your own online-ordering “account”, and you will need to keep that information up-to-date yourself. I will be able to view name, address & specific items you ordered, but I will not see payment information, nor have any editing privileges within your online-ordering account.
  • Should you contract with Stampin’ Up! to become an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you will be asked for a bit more information than I typically collect or maintain for client purposes (including social security number and perhaps a few other things required by law). Please note that any such contract will be between you and Stampin’ Up! only, and I will not receive much of that information. However, in my role as your upline/team leader, I will have access to certain report information such as your name/address, sales history, activity status, and title. But I will only use that information in conjunction with assisting you as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. If I cease to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator myself, I will lose access to that proprietary information.
  • In addition to client information that is shared between Stampin’ Up! and myself, I also share minimal information with my commercial emailing/newsletter services (CRM’s): MailChimp, AWeber, and Fiitfu. This information typically includes your name, email address, and the specific types of messages you have indicated you’d like to receive from me. Again, if you sign up to receive my emailed newsletter, it is reasonable to expect that both my mailing service and I will each have access to the information you provide. My mailing services will also prepare reports for me that may show your interactions with my bulk mailings. This data may include whether or not you opened the message (and when), whether or not you clicked any links, and which ones. Please be aware that while I will have access to such information, in reality, I seldom look at it on a client-by-client basis.
  • I occasionally also use an online company called EventBrite to accept class registrations, and I also use Zoom, PaperForm, and Sqweee for event registration purposes. When you register for one of my events you will give their systems basic information such as your name, email address and (sometimes) phone number, and then I will have access to that information, too.
  • I also use Paypal and Zelle for occasional financial transactions. And if you interact with my PayPal invoices or sales transactions, I will have access to pertinent information about those transactions, as well.
  • If you and I begin to communicate back and forth individually on a fairly regular basis, I will probably also eventually add you to my personal Google Contacts list where I can access your contact information quickly in order to phone, email or message you, or mail you something via snail mail.
  • Finally, I also use an online company called “WAVE”, to maintain my business financial records. And as part of my bookkeeping practices, I create invoices that may include your name, email address, mailing address and a high-level view of your purchasing history (through me) as well.

While I have a high level of confidence and trust regarding all of these entities that I work with as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I do not have personal control over what they may do with my client (your) information. Although I have never experienced a personal-data privacy problem with any of them, if you are concerned about this topic, I encourage you to conduct your own research into their respective privacy practices and policies.
